The Barbados Sailing Association has been awarded the trophy as the 2017 National Sport Federation Champions for our performance in the BiiG Games – BOA Independence Invitational Games!!
This trophy belongs to every sailor who competed, the officials and the boatmen who did a fantastic job of setting the courses in order to show off our sport, and the team of organizers who helped to bring this together.
To everyone involved, thank you for your discipline and your competitive spirit. We are a very special family.
It is with deep sadness that the BSA notifies its members of the passing of Madelaine Mercure, one of our lifetime members. She will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to meet and know her.

After the great success of the BSA’s Discover Sailing event in July we have decided to host another one on September 3rd to celebrate the end of the summer.
All sailing is FREE!
Boats will be rigged and on the beach from 9am, and experienced sailors will be on hand to help with launching or sailing with those who are less confident or trying it for the first time.
Volunteers! Everyone that helped last time did an incredible job and we are now looking for as many volunteers as possible to help with this one, to take people out on the water as well as talk about sailing with them on the beach. If can you can join us, even just for a few hours, we would love to see you!
As always, food and drink will be available at the BYC restaurant and bar, but for non-members only credit or debit cards are accepted.
So bring your friends and family down for a fun day out on the water!
